Tim Allen is set to star in "Redbelt," the mixed martial arts drama David Mamet wrote and will direct for Sony Pictures Classics, reports Variety. It's odd on so many levels. Tim Allen in a MAMET film?? Mamet making a mixed matial arts picture??? In any case, cameras roll June in the City of Angels.

The indie film company H2O is set to develop a picture about Anna Politkovskaya, Russia's leading radical journalist and critic of Vladimir Putin's presidency. The Russian scribe was shot to death in a suspected contract killing in Moscow on Saturday, October 7, 2006. But it thickens...
