JULIAN SCHNABEL GETS DISSED BY SEAN YOUNG (VIDEO)

While the press made the whole Sean Young incident at the recent DGA Awards much more scandalous, here's the video (albeit a little choppy) of Young heckling "Diving Bell and the Butterfly" director Julian Schnabel as he accepts his award at the DGA's Saturday night. The drama continued to unfold yesterday when the controversial actress checked into rehab.

But check out the vid ... The clearly moved Schnabel was trying to make a speech when in the background you hear, "Get on with it!" And then he sorta just splits from the stage, pissed.

WRITER'S STRIKE OVER?

The Director's Guild of America has reached a deal with the producers and suits. Huge considering their beef was almost the same as the writers.

Via Variety:

The DGA’s reached a tentative three-year deal with the AMPTP with key advances in jurisdiction and payment for programming on the Internet.

“Two words describe this agreement -- groundbreaking and substantial,” said Gil Cates, chair of the DGA’s Negotiations Committee. “The gains in this contract for directors and their teams are extraordinary -- and there are no rollbacks of any kind.”

The was announced Thursday afternoon following six days of negotiations at AMPTP amid widespread expectations that the helmers would quickly reach an agreement with the majors. Deal, if ratified by the 13,500 DGA members, will take effect on July 1.
