'ANOTHER WAY TO DIE' VIDEO

The tune debuted a couple of weeks ago and now Yahoo! has debuted the music video for Jack White and Alica Keys’ "Another Way to Die," the theme for the forthcoming Bond flick "Quantum of Solace."

Still tryin' to figure out whether I like it or not...

FROM OUT OF THE NIGHT ... (hilarious)

... he prowls fire hydrants for rogue rabid pooches wreaking havoc on Gotham. A noctural pup, part crime fighter, part vigilante.

it's BAT PUG !!

CLOONEY AS 'THE LONE RANGER' ???

This could be cool... Very cool in fact. Earlier this week, The Mouse House announced that they signed none other than Johnny Depp to play Tonto in a big screen adaptation of "The Lone Ranger." But how do you equal or TOP that??

AICN's sources claim that George Clooney has shown mucho interest in the role.

So whaddaya think?? Clooney with dual six guns and silver bullets?? With Johnny Depp waxing poetic by his side? Could work ... And certainly better than Nic Cage who was once up for the role.

'TRUE BLOOD' OPENING - AWESOME!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a SUCKER for cool, kick-ass opening credits on TV. Yes, I'm simple. I come from an age where TV was the new frontier and Hollywood really put forth an effort in opening credits. You just don't see that anymore. Check out an earlier post with video for more.

Anyway ... HBO's new series "True Blood" is really really growing on me and its opening credits are the creepiest and best thing I've seen in a long time. And that SONG!! How cool. "Bad Things" by Jace Everett channels Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen and Cris Isaak all at once...

Enjoy the credit sequence below. BTW, the song is gonna get in your head. Be warned.

WHY? WHY?? WHYYYY????????

His name is Bond, James Bond... Just don't expect him to introduce himself. For the first time in his 22 screen outings, Britain's best- known secret agent will not utter the words of introduction that have thrilled fans and appalled master criminals for 46 years.

NEW BOND THEME LEAKED!

Sorry, sorry ,sorry for the lack of posts these days. But I'm going to make up for it for it right now with this -- THE NEW BOND THEME “Another Way to Die”, featuring Alicia Keys and Jack White (props to imeem). So listen to it...

There have been a plethora of Bond songs, some of them classics like "Goldfinger," "Thunderball" "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Live and Let Die." Heck, I even liked "A View to a Kill." So does this new tune say BOND?? Is it better than Chris Cornell’s “You Know My Name" from "Casino Royale"?

EVA LONGORIA IN 'THE AVENGERS' ?

As a rabid comic fan, I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

FlawedHollywood (as well as /Slashfilm) have posted pics of "Desperate Housewife" hottie Eva Longoria leaving Marvel offices with a business card as well as a crapload of material, not to mention an Avengers comic book on the tippy top.

Those in the know tell the Flawed that the sudster "Desperate Housewives" wraps right around the time the Marvel comic book team-up is being adapted into a feature film.

Many are speculating that Longoria (or is that Longoria-Parker???) might be in the running to play Janet Van Dyne aka Wasp, a founding member of the super team and eventual wife of Ant-Man.

Longoria as a superhero?? Like I said, just don't know how I feel...

TINA FEY AS SARAH PALIN...

... It was destined to be. Was it funny? Or just more Palin-bashing??

R.I.P: 'FLETCH' SCRIBE GREGORY McDONALD

Gregory Mcdonald died on Sunday at age 71 in Pulaski, Tennessee.

Most know the gumshoe scribe as the best-selling author of the "Fletch" book series, which was later adapted into a comedy film series starring Chevy Chase.

Mcdonald’s "Running Scared" and "The Brave" were also adapted for the big screen. Mcdonald had 26 published books and won the Edgar Allen Poe Award twice. Before writing the Fletch novels, Mcdonald was a journalist for the Boston Globe. He is survived by his wife, Cherlye, and five children.

DEPP AS RIDDLER? HOFFMAN AS PENGUIN?

Even though "Dark Knight" helmsman Chris Nolan is on the down-low, the interwebs are ablaze that Warner Bros. suits know exactly who they want the third Batman film's villains to be and who they want to play them.

Talking with MTV News, Michael Caine revealed that he not only heard the rumors of the various villain casting choices for the next film floating throughout the media, but that he brought up the topic with a Warner exece who seems to have confirmed that some of them were right.

He says:

"I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!."

Hoffman's name as a British or Russian arms dealer version of 'The Penguin' first floated around in 2006, right after "Batman Begins" but before the villains of "The Dark Knight" were set. Depp's link to 'The Riddler' is more recent but the most talked about of the rumors and Depp himself recently said he'd be open to considering the opportunity.

Personally, I hope they keep it to one villain -- Depp would have a field day. Why do these Bat-films insist on stacking up bad guys??

THE SARAH PALIN DOLL RELEASED

McCain-Palin is quickly becoming Palin-McCain...

Not two weeks after she was announced as a VP candidate, the Sarah Palin dolls are flooding store shelves. A blatant attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Alaskan governor, who has impressed the masses since being chosen as John McCain's running mate.

Palin joins an illustrious list of politicians, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, to have been immortalised as plastic toys.

The executive doll is available for $27.95 (about £16) from the website HeroBuilders.com. The action hero version costs two dollars more.

Palin-mania has gripped Republicans since the electrifying speech by the self-confessed "hockey mom" at the party convention in St Paul, Minnesota last week.

MEET THE PIT BULL IN LIPSTICK

We're gonna admit right off the bat - Sarah Palin is downright sexy. There. I said it. Last night, almost 38 million viwers tuned in to watch Sarah Palin, the Pit Bull in Lipstick. This spunky broad (which Papa H would've dug for sure) is a straight-shooter and was up for the challenge of sticking it to her critics who think she too inexperienced to lead teh nation. Check out some highlights...

LITTLE GORDON VIDEO - HILARIOUS

I love Gordon Ramsey. While admittedly I have the worst appetite in the world, I can't help but be fascinated by the rabid, feral chef and all his rantin' and raving. It's like I live vicariously through him.

I recently stumbled upon a new video called Little Gordon -- which is a spoof -- and frikkin' hilarious.

ZACK AND MIRI RED BAND TRAILER

I'm usually not a fan of red band trailers, but this one for Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" is downright hilarious. Keep a keen eye out of Tracy Lords. Or is it Traci???

MORE PROOF THAT MARK MILLAR RULES

Back in July, I waxed poetic about why I thought Mark Millar was the best writer working in comics.

Thanks to Slashfilm for tipping us all off that Millar plans on relaunching Warner Bros. disappointing (and under performing) "Superman Returns."

In an interview with G4, comic book writer Mark Millar revealed his plans for a new trilogy of Superman films, which he would like to be shot back-to-back. He says:

“A director approached me about three months ago,” Millar said. “and he said ‘look, [Bryan Singer's] The Man Of Steel might not be happening. If that doesn’t happen, it has been spoken about the possibility of me coming in, would you like to write it?’ And I was like Yeah.”

Here's the link to the video (cuz the embed code sucks ass)...

ANOTHER FAKE RIDDLER POSTER LEAKED

First of all, sorry for the lack of posts. Between the holiday, work and the fact that I'm trying to get a comic book off the ground, I haven't had much time or gumption to even approach the blogospehere. That said, how friggin' cool is this poster. I thank 'El Guapo' Latino Review for posting it but who in eff knows where it first appeared. Seriously, the Mad Men at Warners have to come up with something because these online folks have been hitting it out of the park.
