THOMPSON PIECE IN NEW MEN'S VOGUE

While the new book, "GONZO: The Life of Hunter S. Thompson: An Oral Biography," by Corey Seymour, along with media god and Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner was released on Halloween day, an abridged, albeit extended book jacket version can be found in this month's Men's Vogue in a well-documented piece.

No self-respecting modern journalist hasn’t at least once fancied the notion of chucking the conventional route and just going plain gonzo like the late renegade writer Hunter S. Thompson. Corey Seymour, a senior editor at Men's Vogue magazine, had his first journalism gig at Rolling Stone as the $18,000-a-year handler of Thompson. Seymour recounts his diverse duties included resuscitating the writer from comatose states, buying him inflatable sex dolls, and preventing him from throwing heavy objects out of hotel windows.
